Smooth Operator is a Los Angeles tribute to Sade, featuring vocalist Jaye Nicole and musical direction by Tate Simms, whose credits include work with Christina Aguilera and Joe Cocker. The band recreates Sade’s blend of R&B, jazz, soul, and pop through songs including “Smooth Operator,” “No Ordinary Love,” and “Kiss of Life,” along with deeper cuts. Jaye Nicole brings an elegant, sultry vocal style, while the ensemble delivers polished arrangements and an intimate, sophisticated performance feel for casinos, festivals, performing arts centers, and intimate venues.
